3 August 2009
TO: All ACCJFL Membership
Subject: 2009 Community “Give Back” Project
The objective of this program is to generate support for various community organizations and to help those in need during the current economic crisis. Our YAPM program will be conducting drives during our listed home games in order to collect necessary items for three different community organizations.
· On Sunday, August 16th, 2009 at our YAPM home game vs Lakeland we will have representatives from “Family Promise”, an organization that assists homeless families in the Monroe County area with shelter, meals and support services, to help families regain self sufficiency. They are in need of “BASIC EVERYDAY ITEMS”, such as paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, liquid soap, baby wipes, diapers, TWIN size sheets, blankets, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc even canned grocery items. ALL donations go directly to the families in need in their program. Any support you can give is greatly appreciated.
· On Sunday, September 6th vs North Pocono we will have representatives from “Pocono Ecumenical Hunger Ministry”, a non- perishable food drive, located in Coolbaugh Twp Municipal Complex. They will be collecting any non perishable food items. Again, your support is greatly appreciated.
· And on Sunday, September 27th vs Taylor the United Way "TEEN WORKS" of Monroe County, local teens belonging to United Way, will be collecting: non-perishable foods, coats, boots, blankets, clothing, etc. All items will be distributed to local shelters and food banks in our area.
We at the YAPM thank all of our member and visiting football families in helping to get the word out and support these worthwhile organizations when you attend our games.
Sincerely,
JEFF KRISIAK
President YAPM
